Team Development – a values-based approach

At Telos we believe that teams work more effectively and cohesively when they work to a common value base. A sense of mission and purpose based on shared values are key to effective individual and team performance. A shared commitment to a common ethical and values base can bring a sense of purpose and optimism as well as acting as a counter balance to some of the negative forces which impede teams and lead to poor morale.

Telos programmes promote team building through enabling team members to explore and identify the beliefs and values they have in common, and how this in turn links with anti-discriminatory practice in health and social care.

We have a particular interest in working with multi-agency and multi-disciplinary teams. We aim to ensure that the contribution of all team members, from support workers and secretaries to specialist professionals is both heard and valued across the team.
